I used to have a '64 Beaumont i bought in the early '80's with new bias ply tires....they were done after 20,000 miles/ 34,000 kms.

If the tire code says they were produced more than seven years ago, even if they still have never been on a car, they should not be used and we cannot even sell them anymore.

I wouldn't want to lose control on a wet road and die. Sacrifice safety for performance.... A novel idea....
