“Only a few years ago, the public had little knowledge of the climate and spill risks of pipeline projects, but today we’re witnessing one of the largest environmental movements on the planet

The 3-yr development phase of the pipeline project would create 332 direct jobs and the 3-yr construction phase in NB would generate 1,095 jobs. When the dust settles, the pipeline would only add about 121 direct jobs during the project’s 40-yr operations phase

The real X factor is how big, how vocal and influential the opposition is likely to become. Their numbers may be small now, but they will likely grow given the inherent tug of war at play

considering that CO had an oil spill about every day last year, why should a pipeline be routed through densely populated areas?

Canada is sure selling a lot of fossil fuel. I am sure a boatload of tax dollars are funding their socialized medicine.

Building new pipelines is next to imposable at this point in time. The funny thing is when you look at who is against the pipelines they either are getting funded by people who have major investments in or will make money from the railroads that will be transporting the oil if the pipeline is not built.

Most people are not aware that gasoline has moved by pipelines for years. Since many of these lines have been in place for years, most people are not aware of them. Gasoline is pumped to distribution terminals where the additives for different brands are added and then delivered by truck to you local station. The same trucks often deliver to different branded stations.

***Crude oil, natural gas by pipeline, train, or truck - take your pick. **Pipelines are the safest and quickest way to transport liquids and gases.
Drive vehicles with high mpg, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
