By-the-way, I was only being facitious with the hydrogen. It's really not that bad, except in rather large amounts as most flammable gases are. When you need new tires, if you don't do it already, go with slightly larger, taller tires, either recalibrate or slow down for the percentage you gain in height and use a more fuel efficient tire and you might gain another three to eight percent in fuel economy. Some people go with the smallest and cheapest tire available, that is a no no! I'm starting to think about Sushi again after glancing at that here, love it!

Yes, that's because most fuel cells don't utilize hydrogen, but rather take something else, like methane, and turn it into hydrogen and/or electricity. You could just simply produce hydrogen from water, which is what many ARE doing today, and have your fuel. Big oil doesn't want that to occur though and they, the government and media would slander, deceive, lie, double-speak their way against it.

LOL! It figures, another computer nerd! Welcome to the club! Trek too!

"I concur with "carlsonguitars"....Hydrogen Fuel Cells are probably the way to go. Hydrogen is the most abundent element in the universe and when used as a fuel (as far as I know) it produces no toxic emissions. We should also be looking at CNG. Electric is NOT the way to go. While it may sound nice on the surface...think about the ramifications of disposing of those batteries." Hydrogen, are you SERIOUS! The stuff that blows up? Are you crazy? Hell, I agree! If they do it right, they don't need subsidies and it could have been done already! Just like there's no reason why we can't have vehicles straight from the factory that get 40 to 100 mpg and more right now.
