You can STILL post gas prices and get POINTS for reading news ... You should read the website guidelines about what articles are considered relevant for posting: "Relevant topics include: energy, clean energy, petroleum (oil, gasoline, and other fuels), automobiles, transportation (primarily autos), and vehicle safety. Other stories may be posted, but are subject to removal." ... topics unrelated to gas prices and you STILL get points ... what a deal ...

"This article has nothing to do with gas prices." ... can you show me where you got the notion the articles can only be about gas prices?

Yes I know where you are, I do agree that all of the refineries need to do more maintenance, it would keep them running safer longer. This week I'm on Sanibel Island, FL. taking a needed break from all the things that are going on in my world. This is an awesome place, Google it if ya want to see paradise. Sorry for any spelling errors, I'm useing an old lap top that doesn't have much on it. I'm just trying to keep up my days. Good to hear from you, I hope I can post another photo album when I get home next week. If I do I'll let you know if you want to see some beautiful water, sunrises & sets. I hope you have a good week,

I grew up in Baytown. I have worked in many of the refineries in the area since the 70's until 99 when I moved here to FL. In the mid 80's I noticed the shutdowns started being cut out for the P.M. work. I know telling you this is like preaching to the choir, you know about it. If they don't do the maintenance units explode & or the sky gets real bright at night. Back to GREED, not wanting to spend the $ to keep everything running properly. I worked a job at Marathon Oil in Kansas. Walking under the pipe racks you would get drops on you of product. I saw there sch/80 pipe that you could stick your finger through it. Enough war stories. Take care my friend & new Gas Buddy. Have a safe weekend.

I liked your comment on "Gas Price Sticker Shock Blamed on Chevron". I'm from that area, always worked in the refineries & I agree with you 100%.. Thanks fir telling them what is part of the real problem. I think you have to be from an area like that or spend years in refineries to know that the P.M.'s are not being done like they once were. Have a good week.

Hey bladecutter, The moderators have now reversed their position on posting of cash vs credit prices. They now ask that you post the cash price when available. Read more at: Forum- Houston discussion

Congrats on reaching one year of consecutive days of posting!

bladecutter, You are correct when you say the station is NOT within the city limits of Webster, and that's why the site moderators ask that you post stations by physical location and not by their post office address! Another good example is the Clear lake stations, if you read their receipts almost all of them get their mail through the Webster post office, but only a small fraction of them are within Webster city limits. Because the site is "Houston" gas prices and there is no designation for county or unincorporated, everything not in an actual city limit gets the "Houston" designitation along with the direction, SE etc. Thanks
