Regarding your post on the news media effect on Toyota's sudden unintended acceleration problem: I've discovered iTunes enables me to download Canada's CBC news, Britain's BBC news, Tokyo's NHK news and even Hong Kong news. It's astounding to learn they report a LOT of U.S. news. The matter-of-fact reporting is a breath of fresh air -- it's more like listening to a weather forecast (reporting the facts) as opposed to listening to a sports announcer promoting an upcoming Super Bowl (with hype, speculation, rumor and clamor). We have BBC television news available on cable TV; check it out, compare it with NBC, CNN, or... This reminds me of what Will Rogers said back in the 1930s; "All I know is just what I read in the newspapers, and that's an alibi for my ignorance."
