You accrue points on your credit card statement and can go online or call them to redeem those points. They have cash back or you can go for gift cards or other items as well. I just put $50 credits on two Chase cards the other day and reduced my balances.

Sam, how does Chase pay the 5% cash back? Do they pay it monthly for each previous billing period or quarterly or yearly?
