I was democrat for many years until they left me to go socialist years ago. I think it was after Carter left us shamed by the islamists. He just spoke up to honor Kim Il Sun for his honorable leading of North Korea. Kim was another butcher of his own people right up there with Mao and Russia's past leaders. If the democrats had not allow people to get loans for houses they had no chance of paying for, GM could have gotten loans through the normal channels as Ford did. A few months later the banks were frozen and only the government had the ability to make money out of paper. That mortgage mess is still affecting our economy today. Many are buyiing forclosed homes rather that retail sales homes.
